The principal business of the group is loosely grouped into 2 categories which are:

1. Exports of indonesian commodities

The primary activity of the company at the moment is in the export of coconut bye products and palm kernel bye products from Indonesia. Volume of copra expellers products on average is between 100,000-120,000mt per annum, making it one of the larger buyers of copra expellers from Indonesia. As for the palm kernel shell on average is between 150,000-240,000mt per annum making it the largest exporter of palm kernell shell from Indonesia.

The company also exports indonesian raw cashew nuts from its warehousing operations in makassar and exports on average 3000-4000mt per annum, again making it one of the top three exporters out of Indonesia.

2. Domestic distribution

Pt. Salil agung imexcorp was initially incorporated to trade in various staple commodity imports into Indonesia mainly spices, soyabeans and feed mill raw materials. The extended financial crisis in Indonesia forced the company to re-engineer its business into distribution of staple commodities in Indonesia.

Currently the company is focussed on wheat flour and groundnut kernel for its distribution activities.

3. Corporate highlights.

I. Registered as an authorized supplier to bulog in 1995 with initial 30,000mt rice contract,10,000mt groundnut kernel contract and 5,000mt 100% broken rice contract.

II. Issued a license to import 10,000mt groundnut kernels on duty free basis by the directorate general of customs and excise. (the noteworthy point being that the only other organization to be issued such a license being the national logistics agency, bulog).
